The village name Belogorka also appears as Tosh-Bulak on local maps. It is worth checking both names when agreeing transport, especially if a driver knows the village but not the intended trail objective farther into the mountains.
The attraction is the waterfall itself and its mountain setting rather than a developed viewpoint beside the main road. Local operators publish a full-day hiking excursion, which is a useful indication that travel and walking both need a place in the programme. It does not establish a universal walking time for every group or prove that the last road section remains suitable for a particular vehicle. Decide where the pedestrian route begins before comparing distance claims from different trip descriptions.
Near a waterfall, the final metres are not always the easiest. Spray, wet stones, loose material and seasonal ice can change where it is sensible to stand. A broad view from a safe distance can reveal the shape of the fall and the surrounding walls better than moving directly beneath it. Avoid using a photograph of someone close to the water as evidence that the same approach is safe during your visit.
Borulu Lake belongs to a separate side-valley outing in the broader Sokuluk area. The two can help explain the range of landscapes west of Bishkek, but they are not one continuous sightseeing path and should not be combined without a workable road and walking plan. Keep an exact return arrangement with your driver, carry what you need for the full walk and choose the day around conditions in the valley rather than only the forecast for the capital.
Exact feature point was not independently resolved; no guessed map pin.
Plan your visit
Getting there
Arrange the Belogorka/Tosh-Bulak approach in the Sokuluk valley and confirm where vehicles currently stop.
When to visit
A snow-free walking season is most straightforward; rain, ice and thaw can change the final approach.
Good to know
Confirm local access, opening arrangements and any entry rules before travel. Respect protected sites and local communities; leave the place as you found it.
