Chyngyz Aitmatov Russian Drama Theatre

The Russian Drama Theatre occupies a listed cultural building on Tynystanov Street, close to Bishkek’s central parks. The city heritage register dates the building to 1972. It provides a separate theatrical stop from the opera house, with spoken drama rather than an assumption that every stage in the city follows the same programme.

For a visitor with an interest in language and contemporary cultural life, attending a production can add another perspective to a historical sightseeing day. Check the language, running time, age guidance and ticket arrangements for the particular performance. These details belong to the current repertoire and should not be inferred from the theatre’s architectural history.

The exterior can also be included in a walk linking Oak Park, nearby museums and central streets. Treat audience entrances, staff areas and rehearsals according to the venue’s rules. The mapped building is a landmark for orientation; confirm the correct entrance separately when meeting a group or attending a performance.

OSM named feature representative point; not a verified entrance, parking place or walking route.
