The contrast between flowing water, wooded slopes and the road’s changing elevation makes it more than a transfer corridor. A sensible visit uses safe stopping places and a short, locally confirmed walk instead of an improvised descent from the highway. The gorge is long, and viewpoints or accommodation advertised under its name may be far apart. Confirm the exact destination with your driver. Rain, rockfall and road traffic can affect what is appropriate on the day.
