The river valley leads from juniper-covered slopes towards rocky peaks, glaciers and increasingly demanding mountain paths. Visitors can choose a short riverside walk or plan a longer hike with suitable preparation. These are very different experiences: reaching the valley does not make the upper mountains an easy outing. Allow time to enjoy the river and mountain views, and choose a turnaround point that matches the weather and your group’s abilities.
