This GPX was supplied for the catalogue. Current route conditions have not been checked on the ground. The file alone does not establish an alpine grade or a recommended trip time. The displayed length may differ from the device reading after track processing.

Elevation profile

Elevation values come from the source file. Inaccuracies can affect total ascent. Gaps in the track are not joined.

Recorded trip time: 9:25. Includes stops; this is not a recommended schedule.

Surface and terrain

The source does not provide a complete surface survey. Expect conditions to change after rain, snow and river floods.

ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Znachkistov is a named summit southeast of the lower Ala-Archa visitor area, in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too south of Bishkek. It is a specific mountain above the valley rather than a general name for a park walk. Its position places it within the ridges that enclose the upper main catchment.

The summit gives a way to understand Ala-Archa vertically: the lower river corridor and the mountains standing above it are different parts of the same landscape. The surrounding slopes and ridges are the object of the outing. This peak is separate from the Ratsek hut area and from the Adygene lake basin, even though all are reached through the wider national-park setting.

Route grading

Grade not specified

A formal grade for this walking route has not been established in the catalogue. The category of a complete trek differs from the grade of a pass or a summit ascent.

ROUTE OVERVIEW

At a glance

An 11.7 km ascent from Ala-Archa towards Znachkistov Peak. The track ends beyond the summit area; the descent is not included.

User-supplied reference geometry; not independently field-verified. No alpine grade, access road, season or recommended completion time is established by the file. Dense stationary/GPS variation was reduced with a 1 m planar simplification tolerance; published length can be shorter than the unsimplified point sum.

Track length: 11.7 km. This distance covers the track shown on the map. Add any approach, return or transfer sections that are outside it.

Is this route for you?

Choose the route after checking the actual start, finish and terrain with a local guide. Mapped geometry alone does not establish technical difficulty. Your group should be comfortable navigating offline and changing plans when conditions deteriorate.

Getting there

The first point is the start of the supplied geometry, not a confirmed vehicle-accessible trailhead.

Without a car

Confirm transport to the actual trailhead, not just the nearest town. Agree the return pickup point and a latest contact time before leaving mobile coverage.

By car & parking

Ask locally about road access, entry rules and a permitted place to park. Use the line only for its stated mode of travel and exact scope.

  1. Start 42.5623, 74.4830

A point of the supplied route geometry. It does not by itself confirm a parking area, settlement or safe access. Read the access and route notes before planning your visit.

  2. End 42.5241, 74.5001

A point of the supplied route geometry. It does not by itself confirm a parking area, settlement or safe access. Read the access and route notes before planning your visit.

Difficult sections & safety

Mountain weather can change quickly. Rain affects traction and river crossings; snow can remain on shaded slopes. Never assume a mapped line confirms a safe crossing or a passable trail. Check recent conditions locally, set a turnaround time and leave your plan with someone who can raise the alarm.

How much time to allow

Historical file time is not a recommended schedule.

When to go

The GPX does not establish a suitable season; assess current conditions for this specific line.
