Eki-Naryn is known for the meeting of the Big and Small Naryn rivers in a mountain landscape east of Naryn town. River views, village life and the surrounding slopes make it a rewarding excursion for travellers who prefer a slow day to a checklist of distant sites. A good visit combines a safe viewpoint with a locally agreed walk or homestay. Conditions on smaller roads and riverbanks vary, and the confluence should be viewed from stable ground. Ask locally about access and do not approach fast water simply to improve a photograph.
