The waterfall known as Girl’s Braids is part of an outing into the Kok-Jaiyk area above Jeti-Oguz. It adds a specific walking objective to a visit otherwise centred on meadows and valley views. Its name should be accompanied by Kok-Jaiyk or Jeti-Oguz when discussing transport, because similarly named waterfalls occur elsewhere.

Plan the waterfall and the valley approach together. The roadside red rocks are an earlier stop, not the start of every version of the final path. Ask a local host or guide to identify the current route from your actual drop-off point and the return to it. This prevents a simple sightseeing description from concealing a much longer day than you expected.

Near falling water, footwear and footing matter. Take time on wet ground and view the cascade from a stable position rather than standing directly beneath loose or steep terrain for a photograph. A close view is not the only worthwhile one: the relation between water, forest and the surrounding slope often makes the broader scene more interesting.

The waterfall can be combined with Kok-Jaiyk if that fits the group’s abilities and the available daylight. It should not be presented as automatically included in a quick visit to the Seven Bulls. This page records a locally promoted attraction; it supplies neither an invented walking time nor a newly checked navigation track.
