Kosh-Bulak Archaeological Settlement
Kosh-Bulak is a fortified archaeological settlement in the Zhazy river landscape of the Uzgen area.
Kosh-Bulak is a fortified archaeological settlement in the Zhazy river landscape of the Uzgen area. The UNESCO tentative-list submission describes its position on a strategically placed promontory and the defensive features associated with it.
This is a separate archaeological site from both Shorobashat and the standing minaret and mausoleums of Uzgen. A visit concerns the shape of the terrain and surviving earthworks, rather than an assumed reconstructed monument. Its appearance in a tentative nomination is not World Heritage inscription or confirmation of a staffed visitor facility. Precise visitor coordinates were not established in the reviewed primary source; arrange the location and access with local heritage specialists before setting out.
