ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Kashka-Suu-Bashi is a named peak on the northern side of the Ala-Archa mountain area, above the transition from foothills to the higher Kyrgyz Ala-Too. The summit name identifies a mountain, while Kashka-Suu can also refer to a valley, village or recreation centre in the wider area.

The geographical interest is the ridge position between the lower approaches and the high mountain interior. From this perspective, the foothill landscape and the deeper valleys belong to different levels of the same range. A trip named for Kashka-Suu-Bashi should therefore be understood through its mountain objective, rather than assumed to be a visit to the ski centre.

The attachment ends about 1 0 0 m from the named summit node, so this is approach context rather than proof of arrival at the top.

Difficult sections & safety

Mountain weather can change quickly. Rain affects traction and river crossings; snow can remain on shaded slopes. Never assume a mapped line confirms a safe crossing or a passable trail. Check recent conditions locally, set a turnaround time and leave your plan with someone who can raise the alarm.

How much time to allow

Historical file time is not a recommended schedule.
