Adygene Peak is a separate summit in the Ala-Archa mountain area of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too. The named summit lies west of the upper Adygene valley and lake landscape. Its name is shared with the valley and glacial lakes, but a walk to the water and an ascent of the mountain have different objectives.

A first-person ascent account connects the mountain with an approach through the valley, an overnight stop by a lake and Adygene Pass. That is one described itinerary, not a rule that every track carrying the Adygene name follows the same course. The summit provides a high-mountain perspective on a landscape of ridges and glacial headwaters; the lower wooded valley is only the beginning of that setting.
