The University of Innsbruck’s 2022 expedition recorded laser scanning here as part of research into the formation of the region’s underground cavities.
Mineral deposits and the cave’s relationship to surrounding limestone make it a scientific locality as well as a landscape feature. Scientific access does not establish tourist access: the published expedition account is not an excursion route or a current safety assessment. The guide identifies the cave without assigning an unverified entrance. Treat any proposal to go underground as a separate specialist undertaking.
