Limestone canyon

Dangi is a limestone canyon associated with the Aravan river and the Tyuya-Muyun karst area. Rock walls and the river cutting through the massif make it a surface landscape destination distinct from the underground sites nearby.

A local operator’s photographic record documents the canyon and its relationship with Surprise Cave. That record confirms the landscape, but does not establish a continuous marked trail, safe river crossing or current vehicle access. A surface visit is an opportunity to look at limestone forms without treating cave entry as an automatic extension. Water conditions and the condition of paths need local checking; do not enter a river narrows simply because it appears passable in an older photograph.
