Its appeal is the ability to stay locally and choose routes of different lengths through pastures and higher terrain. A gentle village walk, a summer horse trek and a winter backcountry outing are separate experiences requiring different preparation. The map point identifies the settlement rather than every trail in the surrounding mountains. Ask about current paths, weather and guide availability, and give yourself time to enjoy the rhythm of the village as well as the scenery beyond it.
