ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Turnaluu-Kol is a mountain lake destination associated with the Jyrgalan valley in eastern Issyk-Kul Region. It is a specific water feature within the surrounding pasture landscape, while Jyrgalan is the village base below.
The interest is the close relationship between a small mountain lake, open grazing country and the valley’s settled life. A horse outing makes the connection between these settings part of the visit, rather than turning the lake into an isolated photo stop. The lake itself remains the geographical object; different horse or walking arrangements may reach it by different approaches.
