Its location makes it useful for arranging local guides, horse transport and trips towards the lakes and camps below Lenin Peak. The village itself provides a chance to pause, acclimatise and understand the practical scale of the surrounding landscape. Alay District and neighbouring Chon-Alay District are distinct administrative areas. Confirm each route separately, since a village stay, a lake walk and an expedition into glaciated terrain have very different requirements.
