Its wide pastures and long mountain horizons create a striking change of scale after the road climbs out of the Chuy Valley. Summer visits offer a chance to see seasonal herding landscapes and take short walks away from safe stopping places. The valley is also a working environment, so tracks may lead to households or grazing areas rather than public viewpoints. Keep plans flexible: cold, wind and sudden changes in visibility are part of travelling here.
